Scope
Altura managed the commissioning team and process, and was responsible for design review, BMS specifications, and integration into the SkySpark analytics platform. In the realm of construction, we deliver beyond the technicalities. We’re not just managing BAS design; we’re elevating the entire construction team’s understanding of the process. We infused our BAS design capabilities into the project, such that we were able to augment the bid documents with more detailed network architecture schemes. This ensured that there was no bid risk to achieving UCSF facilities desired architecture for their newest high-tech laboratory at Weill.

HIGH SUSTAINABILITY GOALS DEFINED AND ACHIEVED

Altura rose to the challenge for the goals set out for this complex university building, where we thrived in the owner’s rep role, and continued to deliver above expectations through warranty.

Altura managed new building commissioning for UCSF’s new Neuroscience Research Building, Weill Neurosciences: a 282,500 sq. ft. building on block 23A the Mission Bay Campus, including lab, clinical, and office space. Altura was the selected commissioning agent because of our unique analytics-driven commissioning approach and history of project success delivering performance on complex facilities. Within this project we have continued to bring forward to the larger construction team our BAS design capabilities such that we were able to augment the bid documents with more detailed network architecture schemes, ensuring that there was no bid risk to achieving UCSF facilities desired architecture. Beyond the construction phase of our projects, the Altura BAS commissioning model continues to outperform the traditional model, with constant calibrated information and analytics delivery for the operations and facilities personnel, thereby demonstrating measured value of this commissioning process to the markets and clients we serve. These projects are commissioned like no other buildings Center of Excellence’s specific acceptance criteria.
