Los Alamos National Laboratory

Since 2015, Altura has engaged in an ongoing commissioning relationship for the betterment of sustainability and lab functionality for this renowned national laboratory.

Altura has worked with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to deploy SkySpark Analytics throughout campus since 2015. The project is on-going. Altura was selected for our leadership in the application of data analytics to large, complex, and extremely cyber-secure campus environments. We were able to help build a new in-house team and new processes to manage data analytics across the campus. Using a scrum approach that leverages deep data analytics, the project team continues to meet bi-weekly to review performance, back check performance issues that have been resolved, and prioritize implementation of new opportunities to improve performance. This process is leading to significant energy cost reductions while improving the reliability and comfort of the facilities.

In addition to paving the way for LANL’s continued energy savings, Altura deployed a unique agile workflow to identify, analyze and resolve building performance issues to improve other vital building performance benchmarks, such as occupant comfort, equipment reliability, and the ongoing success of reduced energy use.
