Altura is engaged by Pacific Medical Buildings (PMB) to systematically improve energy efficiency for their portfolio of medical office buildings. The Connected Commissioning process leverages SkySpark – a remote fault detection and analytics program – to extract actionable data from building management systems.
Altura uses connected data to identify energy efficiency opportunities, and our team works with PMB building operation staff to implement improvements and train for future optimization. The result is a program which has uncovered immediate savings of more than 20% per building, representing annual cost savings of more than $65,000 for the first two building in the program. Other benefits of the program include lower maintenance costs, prolonged equipment life, improved occupant comfort, and enhanced operator training. To date, Altura has performed retro-commissioning using the Connected Commissioning approach on more than 10 properties in the PMB portfolio.
