We are seeking a Marketing & Business Development Specialist who is a strategic thinker with top-notch people skills. This position is on the front lines of our marketing and business development initiatives and performs activities for the firm that align with our vision, mission, core values, and TrailMap goals. This ultimate team-player works collaboratively with the Director of Marketing and Business Development, business team, principals, and technical team on proposals, customer relationship management (CRM), marketing collateral, digital marketing, promotional activities, brand management, and business team support.

Scope & Responsibilities

  • Qualifications and Proposals – Support the qualifications and proposal process including supporting opportunity tracking, maintaining proposal templates and related materials, and organizing the team.
  • Collateral – Develop, maintain, produce, and update company marketing materials including team resumes, project cutsheets, presentations, graphic imagery, brand assets, and all other company-branded communications.
  • Conventional and Digital Marketing – Create, post, and maintain polished, high-quality content, messaging, and communication.
  • CRM – Collaborate with the business team to help select, implement, maintain and update the CRM database to assist the Director of Marketing and Business Development, Business Team, principals, and technical team in follow-up with business development, client proposals, leads, reporting, etc.
  • Brand Management – Build brand awareness and visibility by managing the firm’s corporate identity in the marketplace; seek opportunities to differentiate the brand from the competition to elevate the firm’s perception.
  • Promotional Activities – Manage, coordinate, and support inbound/outbound marketing initiatives including professional association engagements, speaking opportunities, conferences and trade shows, photography, awards, and special events.

Required Qualifications

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite. A high level of competency in Adobe InDesign is required. Graphic design skills are a bonus.
  • Experience in a marketing role producing proposals and related marketing materials.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proficient with CRM database software, building automated reports, and creating systems for data management input/output.
  • Ability to work on multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional marketing or equivalent experience; A/E/C industry experience is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, public relations, or a commensurate level of skills.
